It is safe to suggest having different watches for work and leisure following the need or the want (i.e. the occasion or personal preference). The choice of a dressier watch is best to be confined to something classic or "timeless". The advice here is quite simple and straightforward: on a bigger man a standard watch face looks like a ladies watch, on the contrary a big watch on a smaller wrist can still look quite cool. Watch makers are continually coming out with watches that have larger than standard faces, which has become quite a trend.
Water Resistance
Swimming with your watch on is a great feature but should a grown up person really care about it? On the practical side, water resistance will ensure that your watch is not damaged by an occasional rain or by getting dropped in water of a reasonable depth. And here comes the next point: how resistant do you want your watch to be: should it withstand accidental splashing, rain, sweat, or moisture up to certain depths such as 50 or 100 meters.
