If not to dig deep into numerous nuisances of applying eye shadow, we can say that there are two basic ways to do it, let’s call them "rounded" and "winged". The first step would be to understand which one of these suits you better. The easiest and fastest way to check this is to apply one shape to one eye and another to the other eye. Come to the mirror and decide which one looks perfect.
The important thing is not be afraid to experiment: try various colors and combinations. You will be surprised to see how great some of them will look on you. If you don’t have much room between the crease of your eye and your eyebrow then you need to use the winged shape.
Winged Shading
The look would be perfect on younger women whose corner of the eye is not sagging.
- Apply light-color eye shadow from lash line
- Apply mid tone eye shadow on lid.
- Carefully apply darker eye shadow in wedge at outer corner.
- For more emphasis line upper and lower lashes with eyeliner pencil.
Round Shading
This form suits almost all women. Looks better if your brow bone markedly curves around the eye.
- Apply light-color eye shadow across the lid, from the lash line to slightly beyond the crease, and all the way to the eyebrow.
- Apply mid tone eye shadow on lid and under the bottom eyelashes.
- Carefully apply darker eye shadow in wedge at outer corner.
- For more emphasis line upper and lower lashes with eyeliner pencil.
